The xʷəlməxʷqən Cultural Society (XWCS) is dedicated to the preservation and transmission of traditional cultural knowledge and language of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ people across the generations.

We have a variety of language lessons to help you improve your hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ learning, whether you are just starting out or if you are fluent.

Resources

We offer community events to showcase the language, and we partner with Tsawwassen First Nation and Simon Fraser University to offer hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ courses leading to certificates, diplomas, and degrees.
