This tool was inspired by the Interactive Sagittal Section by Daniel Currie Hall. The division of linguistic features adheres to features on hul’q’umi’num’ and hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓, as laid out on xʷəlməxʷqən.ca.
The mid-sagittal image is a partial replication of that used by Currie Hall [The general structure of this sagittal section is based on diagrams in The sounds of language: An introduction to phonetics, by Henry Rogers]. Illustrations for voicing, glottalization, and some manners were added to reflect those in hul’umi’num’ and hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓. Descriptions of features were pulled from Linguistics For Dummies by Rose-Marie Dechaine, Strang Burton, and Eric Vatikiotis-Bateson. Orthography follows that used by the hul’q’umi’num’ Language and Culture Society.
